Memorial Day Weekend Recap

Happy Tuesday morning!

It was so nice to have an extra day for the weekend! And starting the weekend of June 9th, I’ll have three day weekends for the summer! I kicked off the weekend by heading over to Chips Cookies in Salt Lake City. They’re only open Thursday-Saturday and they have very odd hours. They’re open from 8pm-midnight. I’ve been wanting to try them since I heard about them a few weeks back but I don’t like the idea of driving 30 minutes for cookies. Well I decided that this weekend I was going to! Left the house at 7:30pm, got there right at 8:00pm when they opened and was back home by 8:30pm. You get four 6oz cookies for $10 and right when I picked them up, they smelled so delicious. They were pretty good with a big glass of milk but Josh insisted that my cookies were better! I use dark chocolate chips where most places use semi sweet. I kinda agree with him!

Trader Joe’s Haul

IMG_8405One of my absolute favorite flower is Peonies. I fell in love with them when planning our wedding and they were the main flower for it. They’re only in season for May and June and most florists sell them for $14 a stem which is insane! But I knew that Trader Joe’s would sell them when they were in season. I’ve been calling once a week since the start of May to see when they would have them in store and finally, they were available! Trader Joe’s sells them for a killer price, 5 stems for $6.99. That is a $63.00 savings!! Continue reading “Trader Joe’s Haul”

Birthday wish list

I’ll be celebrating my 24th birthday a month from today so I thought it would be a good idea to put together things that are catching my eye. I’m not one of those people who says I don’t know what I want when someone asks me what I want for my birthday or for Christmas. They are asking for a reason so might as well tell them some things you’d like rather than making them guess! Continue reading “Birthday wish list”

Weekend recap!

Happy Monday!! My goal is to complete my weekend recap every week, we will see how this goes!

Almost every Saturday is the same for us. By 10am we are doing yardwork. We have a neighborhood girl come over and pick up our dog poop. It’s not something either of us like doing so we found someone who was trying to earn money and was able to come over every week. Best $10 spent! Josh mows while I edge and pick up any dog toys and dig out any weeds. From there we move onto our inside chores. Josh vacuums while I clean the kitchen and dust. I think were such a good team when it comes to house chores! Once everything was done, we binge watched the new season of Kimmy Schmidt. Y’all need to watch it. It’s so dumb, it’s funny. It’s one of those shows you’re laughing the whole time.

Sunday morning was relaxing. I made breakfast while Josh played on his Xbox with his brother. We watched tv for a little then needed to get ready. We headed out to my uncles house to celebrate mother’s day and my dad’s birthday. After, we went grocery shopping, drove home, then Josh played a little more while I painted my nails. Since we had a late lunch, we didn’t end up eating until almost 8pm!  Since I work early in the mornings, we tend to go to bed around 9:30pm-10:00pm but we got sucked into Grey’s Anatomy so we didn’t go to bed until 10:30pm.

Have a great week!

My top 5 favorite beauty products

  1. ShadowSense by SeneGence. $22

Yes, I do sell SeneGence and it was one of the best decisions I ever made (that story is for another post) but that is not why it is on here. I believe that this is one of the best eyeshadows out there! It’s a crème to powder product and it has all day staying power. You also can use it to highlight, contour, as blush, bronzer, eyebrow filler. I love when products can be used for more than one thing. That saves me money in the long run!

  1. Simple cleansing wipes $4.99

I have very sensitive skin and so many skincare products make my face burn or very itchy. I found these wipes about four years ago and they were life changing. They are gentle on your face while removing all your makeup. I wear waterproof mascara and it even removes it.
Simple cleansing wipes

  1. Real Technique brushes $8.99-$19.99

It’s not really a beauty product but I believe it’s important to use good brushes. It’s essential to have good brushes to get good results. Some of my favorites are the real Techniques Stippling Brush, Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, real Techniques Foundation Brush, Real Techniques Multi Task brush, Real Techniques essential foundation brush, brow brush, shading brush, and essential crease brush

  1. Big Sexy Hair Powder Play Volumizing & Texturizing Powder $16.95

One of my favorite hair products! My hair is so thick but it doesn’t have any volume to it. Just put some of this powder on your roots and you’ll magically have volume. You can just put it on your roots or you can even take a small comb or even your fingers and fluff your roots. A little of this product goes a long way.

  1. LipSense by SeneGence $25

Again, yes I sell this but this is truly one of the best lipsticks on the market. There is nothing like LipSense out there. LipSense is life proof! You can go swimming in it and it will still be there. Kiss your husband or kids, go eat a burrito, go have drinks with the ladies and it will still be on. Lasts up to 18 hours!
